The Northumberland Plate

The Northumberland Plate is a new joint venture between Coquet Yacht Club, Royal Northumberland Yacht Club and Northumberland County Council. The inagraul race will commence from CYC in Amble on Satruday 18th of July, and race down to RNYC @ Blyth, where the boats and crew will overnight.

The Sunday will see a return race to CYC for those boats based there, and further day races and activities at RNYC. It is expected that this will become an annual event, alternating the starting port each year.

The main race will be on the Saturday, with a provisional start of 09:30. There will be 3 classes, Sportsboat, Spinnaker & White Sail.

CYC are hosting a BBQ for visiting yachts, crews and members on Friday the 17th July, with RNYC providing hospitality on the Saturday evening.
